Thickness for paint coating

Paint thickness is a very important point, which is one of the factors that determine the service life of the product. Usually we use a Paint film instrument to measure it, which is the most commonly used detection method on the market. The Paint film instrument can basically accurately measure the thickness of the paint film.

Paint Brand

This is also one of the factors that determine the service life of the product. Most customers do not have too many requirements on the brand, because the brand represents quality as well as price. For customers, products with cost-effectiveness and that meet local market demand will be the most suitable products. Of course, some customers also have requirements for brands. For example, customers want Nippon, Aksu, and Winter (these are relatively large brands), and some specify other small brands.

T Bending Test

This test is to detect the flexibility of the paint. By bending, observe the cracking or shedding of the coating on the bent surface. Bending 180 degrees is 0T, and continuing to bend 180 degrees is 1T, and so on, 2T, 3T. Under normal circumstances, 2T-3T is the most perfect state. 0T paint does not fall off, which means that the paint is very soft, which is very good for make corrugated roofing sheets and will not fall off. However, if the paint is too soft, it will reduce the service life of the tiles when used on roofs or walls. 4T-5T does not fall off, which means that the paint is too hard, which is more friendly to the service life of the product during use, but it will not pass when produce Galvalume Roofing Sheet and the paint will fall off. The key point depends on the customer's use and what type of roof to produce. Different tile types have different requirements for T-bends. 

Wipe Test

This is a basic test. Normally, if the paint does not fall off after wiping it 100 times with cotton soaked in butanone, it meets the standard. If the paint falls off, it is most likely that the baking temperature is not enough and the paint is too wet.

Pencil Hardness test

Use pencils of different hardness (H 2H 3H) to scratch the steel plate at a 45-degree angle. If there is no cracking or scratching on the paint film, it meets the standard.
