According to different structures, color coated steel sheets can be roughly divided into the following types.
(1) Painted steel plate
The coated steel plate is a galvanized steel plate as the base, and the front and back of the coated steel plate are painted to ensure its corrosion resistance. The first layer on the front side is a primer, usually epoxy primer, because it has strong adhesion to metal, and the back is also coated with epoxy or acrylic resin; the second layer (surface layer) used to use alkyd resin in the past, generally used Polyester paint or acrylic resin paint.
(2) PVC steel plate
There are two types of PVC steel plates. One is produced by coating paste PVC, which is called coated PVC steel plate; the other is formed and printed or embossed PVC film is pasted on the steel plate, which is called film PVC steel plate.
The PVC layer is thermoplastic, and the surface can be thermally processed. For example, embossing can make the surface texture rich, and it is also flexible, can be subjected to secondary processing such as bending, and its corrosion resistance is also relatively good.
The disadvantage of the PVC surface layer is that it is easy to age. In order to improve this shortcoming, a new type of composite PVC steel plate in which acrylic resin is compounded on the surface of the PVC has been produced.
(3) Thermal insulation coated steel plate
The heat-insulating coated steel plate is made of 15-17mm thick polystyrene foam or rigid polyurethane foam on the back of the color-coated steel plate, which can be used to improve the heat and sound insulation performance of the coated steel plate.
(4) High-durability coated steel sheet
According to the good aging resistance of fluoroplastics and acrylic resins, the use of high-durability coated steel plates on the surface coating of steel plates can improve the durability and corrosion resistance of the steel plates
